Science & The Swastika: The Wrong Stuff | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

Views:3330|Rating:4.48|View Time:49:21Minutes|Likes:112|Dislikes:13
Looks at how after the Second World War the American military recruited dozens of German scientists. Amongst them was Professor Hubertus Strughold whose subsequent development of space medicine made a large contribution in the ability to send astronauts to the Moon. However, as a Nazi doctor he was involved in inhuman experiments at Dachau concentration camp, using inmates in experiments on the effects of high altitude and extreme cold. Looks at how far the Apollo moon programme may have been tainted by Nazi war crimes and criminals.

Germans are known for their high standards and attention to detail. From early progress in the link between smoking and cancer, to triumphs in aviation – their scientists have been among the greatest in the world. This four-part series examines the effect Hitler’s Nazi regime had on the scientific progress in the country – from world leaders to crumbled ruins.Science And The Swastika investigates how biology, medicine, physics and aviation fared during the Thousand Year Reich. An uncomfortable truth emerges – while some scientific work was carried out to morally repugnant ends, many German scientists actually did ‘good science’, rigorously conducted in a dispassionate and rational way. This troubling legacy demands that we continue to question our understanding of science and the moral responsibilities of scientists.

Bladesmiths, welcome
to the strength test. The moose antler chop– remember, this test is all
about what the antler does to your bowies and not
what the Rough Rider bowies do to these moose antlers. Dan, you're up first. You ready? Yes, sir. [pounding] Edge held up perfectly. There's no splinting,
rolling, chipping. One small issue–
there's a little piece of the handle that comes up
right here, and it's sharp. In general, really well done. Thank you. John, you're up. You ready? Yes, sir. [pounding] Your guard is quite loose. In the testing, your edge took
a roll that you can hear here. In all, I mean, it's one knife
instead of two, which is great. And it's got a great
look to it, so well done. Thanks, sir. Josh, you're up. You ready? Does it matter? No. [music playing] [pounding] [sighs] Good job, man. Thanks. There's some serious
gaps on both sides between the handle
material and the guard. Aside from those issues,
the blade held up perfectly. Well done. Thank you. Bladesmiths, welcome to the
sharpest test, the fish slice. To find out if there's any
edge left to your weapon, I want to take your
Rough Rider bowies and try to get some salmon
steaks out of this fish. Dan, you're up first. You ready? Yes, sir. Let's do this. [pounding] Well, we got four
steaks out of it– beautiful job. It is sharp. There was a spot
here in the guard. It could have been
smoothened out. But it did not affect
the use of your blade. The balance of
your blade is good. And most importantly,
it will cut. Good job, sir. Thank you. John, you ready? Yes, sir. [pounding] On the first cut, did
cut all the way through. I just ran out of blade. But under subsequent
cuts, it is sharp. And overall, sir, your blade– it will cut. Thanks, sir. All right, Josh.
Your turn. You ready?
– Go to it. Let's do it. [slicing] Good job. Thanks, man. All right, Josh, let's
talk about your blade here. First up is the handle. It feels like it should be held
this way because it's off-line. And in one of the
cuts, it did affect the way I was indexing my
hip with the guard and then into the blade. But this is a sharp
blade, and it will cut. That's awesome. That's all I wanted to hear. Bladesmiths, we asked you
to make Rough Rider bowies to honor President Theodore
Roosevelt. The judges' deliberation is complete. They've made a final decision. Only two of you can move
forward into the finale. One of you bladesmiths
has to leave the forge. And that bladesmith is John. Your blade didn't make the cut. David Baker's going
to tell you why. John, this decision came down
to the strength test in which your blade picked up a rolled
edge and a loose guard, making it the only blade
that took any damage. John, please
surrender your bowie. My only real regret is that
the handle just didn't hold up. The guard didn't hold up. I would have worked
better on the handle. I came here to prove
to myself that I am working down the right
path of my craftsmanship. And I believe I've
proved that to myself under these conditions.

The Space Shuttle's Last Flight (Atlantis) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

As Atlantis completes its 135th and final mission, this definitive documentary charts the rise and fall of the most ambitious space programme ever undertaken, the space shuttle. For the past three decades since it first launch in 1981, the shuttle has become an iconic symbol of America’s technological dominance while at the same time rewriting the rules of space travel. Here is reusable vehicle that could lift off like a rocket, carry people and cargo into Earth’s orbit, then land on a runway like a plane and do it time after time. But two disasters, in 1986 and 2003, and the tragic loss of 14 astronauts shocked the World, and signalled the end of the programme, and the end of an era. However, its legacy has been extraordinary. In 30 years of service, the shuttle has flown more miles, completed more missions and put more men and women in orbit than any other spacecraft in history. It has transformed our understanding of the universe, aided technological advancement, and enabled us to study the environmental consequences we have had on our planet. After this July, when the shuttle takes its last flight, the USA will no longer be able to put a man in space for the first time in over half a century.

Extraordinary royal war injuries, including Richard the Lionheart, hit by a crossbow bolt, and Henry V, critically wounded by an arrow to his skull.

Series investigating how royal doctors and medicine have changed the course of British history – from madness to war wounds, decadence to the struggles to conceive an heir. The series recounts the fates of Richard the Lionheart and Henry V on the battlefield; examines Britain’s most famously mad king, George III, and investigates the stories of Queen Victoria’s clinical depression and Henry VI’s acute schizophrenia. The film also examines how Royal misbehaviour changed the image of the monarchy – from Henry VIII’s overeating and lack of exercise to Charles II’s death at the hands of his own doctors and George IV’s opium-fuelled reign.

COREY: What do we got? BRAD: I'm selling a
limited edition animation cel of "Tennessee
Tuxedo," featuring Stanley, the zookeeper,
Tennessee Tuxedo, and– COREY: –Chumley the walrus. Well, I can definitely see now
how you got the name, Chumlee. CHUMLEE: Spitting image. BRAD: I came to
the pawn shop today to sell a limited
edition "Tennessee Tuxedo" animation cel. I'm hoping to get $350 for it. I want to sell it because I
just bought an engagement ring. I'm hoping she says
yes, but we'll see. COREY: So how'd you get it? I bought it online from
a dealer a few years ago. COREY: All right. Well, "Tennessee
Tuxedo" has always been pretty popular around here. Tennessee was a penguin
that lived in the zoo and was always coming up with
ways to try to break out, and Chumley would
inevitably screw it up. BRAD: Exactly. COREY: It's just
like our pawn shop. I'm Tennessee Tuxedo,
trying to run a business, and a guy named Chumlee
is screwing it up. And the zookeeper
always reminded me a little bit of my grandfather. Just always kind of angry
and yelling at Chumley. Well, I could definitely
see the resemblance. Tennessee Tuxedo came
out the early 1960s and only ran for
like three seasons. But it kind of
became a sleeper hit. There was reruns on
TV up until the 1980s. Can I see this cel? BRAD: Sure. You got anything with it. BRAD: There's a
seal right there. All right, now, is
this a reproduction? Because it says 1993 on it. The cartoons were made
in the early '60s. BRAD: It's a reproduction,
but it's a limited edition. It's signed by executive
producer Peter Piech. CHUMLEE: No one ever cares
about the executive producer. [chuckling] COREY: In 1993, they
probably went around, and who's still alive that we
could tie to "Tennessee Tuxedo" and had him sign
a bunch of them. Right. I mean, the only reason I'm
going to buy it is because I'm going to hang it above
my desk because my best friend's Chumlee. Corey acts like I
get on his nerves, but I knew he had
a soft spot for me. So what do you
want to do with it? I'd like to sell it. Any idea what you're
looking to get out of it? I was hoping to
get $350 for it. $350? I deal with thousands of
production cels a year. And in my experience, I'd
say it'd be worth about $300. So that being said, man,
I'll give you around $200. Could you do $275? It's limited edition, so there
aren't that many out there. COREY: I'll split it
with you and go $250. Don't ask for any more because
I'm not going to pay it. I can do $250. All right, man, deal. $250 is fine. It doesn't pay for
the engagement ring, but it definitely pays
for the taxes of it. [cash register ding] COREY: Check this out, Pops. It's pretty cool. What's the cartoon? What is it? COREY: Chumley the
walrus, Tennessee Tuxedo, and Stanley Livingston. I like it because it
reminds me of Chum, myself, and The Old Man. RICK: I think it's
stupid, and it's never going to be worth anything. Don't be mad because you don't
have a cartoon of yourself. Why would I want
a cartoon of myself? COREY: Because
you're the most vain, egotistical person I know. And we all have a cartoon
that represents us, and you're not in it. I don't think Rick likes
it too much when he's not the center of attention. RICK: It was bad animation
when it was made. Corey, he's jealous. Figures my dad would get
jealous over a cartoon, but I think I found a
way of including him that will make him feel better. RICHARD: Go hang it
in Rick's office. [cash register ding] COREY: Here, Pops. Look what I got for you. Noticed you were a little
hurt about not being included in the whole cartoon
thing, so I went ahead and found Professor
Whoopie here, you know, the bald, know-it-all
professor that Tennessee would always ask for advice. I added it into the
picture for you. In a Pawn Shop shirt? Yeah, I customized it for you. RICK: How in the
world is that me? Well, he's got
short, stubby legs. He's bald. He's got kind of a potbelly. He's a know-it-all,
puffy cheeks. If his head was a
little bit bigger, he'd be a perfect
match for you, son. [chuckling] Why are you doing this to me? COREY: Doing what? You're finally a
cartoon character. All I know is if you guys
start calling me Whoopie, I will fire you. Get that thing out of my
face and get back to work. Whatever you say,
Professor Whoopie. RICHARD: You have to admit,
Rick, they got you good. RICK: They didn't
get me on anything. RICHARD: They got you.

Ancient Plastic Surgery: Episode 2 (Ancient History) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

British plastic surgeon Natasha Hidvegi was astounded to learn that an operation she was working on, in restoring the nose of a cancer patient, was developed 3,000 years ago, in India. So begins her journey around the world and back in time to investigate what the ancient civilisations of Egypt, India and Rome might have known about cosmetic and restorative surgery. In Varanasi, home of Aruyvedic medicine, Natasha starts her quest observing a rhinoplasty (nose job) being carried out according to techniques devised by the Ayurvedic medic Sushruta way back in the 5th Century BC. Back in London, she assists at the very same operation carried out by Harley Street specialists. Sushruta’s operation and the principles it underlines has remained the bedrock for plastic surgery right up to today, becoming the most popular and successful form of restorative rhinoplasty available in the world at this time. Natasha discovers that plastic surgery dates back to the earliest records we have – and probably, beyond that time. Queen Nefertiti was one of the greatest beauties ever known. Plastic surgeons reveal that the dimensions of her face still provide the model for their work. But was her remarkable face entirely natural? Ancient Plastic Surgery reveals how ancient surgeons carried out the most delicate cosmetic work from nose jobs to breast reduction, eye-lid lifts, foreskin restoration, clitoris reduction as well as the concealment of scars and wounds. And all of this work completed without anything to equal the anaesthesia of today.

TV ANNOUNCER: How
far out can you get? That's the big question
in television today, and CBS has the big answer,
its fabulous new series "Lost in Space". NARRATOR: In 1965,
the CBS network announced the
debut of what would become television's
first prime-time science-fiction series. TV ANNOUNCER: Wouldn't Dad
like to use this gadget to beat that thruway traffic? NARRATOR: Set in the far
future of 1997, "Lost in Space" told the story of a
family of space colonists who become marooned
on an alien world. It underscored America's
growing acceptance that mankind's
future was not here on Earth but out in the
vast reaches of the galaxy. This trend continued when the
following year NBC premiered "Star Trek", the epic saga of a
futuristic starship whose crew is charged with
exploring the galaxy, seeking out new life
and new civilizations, and going where no man or
woman had ever gone before. Interestingly,
both programs would appear in America's
living rooms years before mankind would even
step foot on the moon. It is amazing that today
we are living in times where only 40, 50 years
ago, people were fantasizing about the future. And here we are experiencing
that said future– not all of it, but many things. Where do we stand
50 years from now? I think science fiction
is a part of disclosure. Over time, science fiction
has become science fact. NASA ANNOUNCER:
Ignition sequence start. NARRATOR: Of course,
science fiction's role in pre-envisioning what would
ultimately become the world's science fact was nothing new. But are many of today's
scientific wonders merely the product of fertile
minds and wild imaginations, or do they have their
origins elsewhere, possibly light years away? There's an interesting theory
the idea that certain profound science-fiction writers may not
have just simply come up with the ideas for their
stories on their own, or they may have
thought they came with the ideas on their own. Perhaps there was an outside
force presenting it to them. Have science-fiction
authors and writers been inspired by extraterrestrials? NARRATOR: Could
extraterrestrials have given humanity
glimpses of its own future through science fiction? And if the creative
minds of the past had been able to pre-envision
the incredible technologies of the present day,
then should we also regard the science
fiction of today as a guide to where
mankind is headed next? Where do we stand
50 years from now? And if we're talking about
science fiction today, one recurring theme
is what happens if we gain the ability to
upload our consciousness to some type of a computer? Is it possible that our future
may lie in a digital realm? I would not want my thoughts
to be uploaded to a computer because then we
really become glass. This planet will cease to
exist within two seconds if we all know each
other's thoughts. So there is a fine line we
have to walk between what can and will ensure our
future and what can and will be our assured annihilation. NARRATOR: According to many
ancient-astronaut theorists, the visions of a bleak future
as depicted in today's science fiction could, if
realized, prove as perilous as they once seemed profound. But they also suggest that
the messages that mankind's visionaries receive may not
be dire predictions as much as they are warnings,
warnings intended to help mankind avoid annihilation.

[music playing] NARRATOR: Despite the fact that
it is not open to the public, ancient astronaut
theorist Giorgio Tsoukalos asked Nick Pope to
take him to the CCC for a firsthand look
at the installation. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: All right. Good luck. Thank you very much. NARRATOR: As a former employee
of the Ministry of Defense, Nick did not feel it
was appropriate for him to approach the facility
himself without clearance. – I'll see you later, Nick.
– Yes. Take care.
[door closes] [music playing] GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Here we are.
The CCC. [music playing] The lights are on. And just like Nick explained,
it's got a barbed wire. It is fenced down. Impenetrable. NARRATOR: According to the
British Ministry of Defense, the CCC is simply
a data processing center for the Royal Navy. But if true, why is
it so heavily guarded? Clearly it's an
access to what seems to be an underground system. And if the stories that
Nick told me are true, then underneath our feet
is a vast system of tunnels and underground facilities. [first responder sirens wailing] NARRATOR: Within minutes
of Giorgio's arrival at the security
gate, the crew is met by a military police unit. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Can you tell
me anything about this place? NARRATOR: Unfortunately,
the situation ends with filming being halted. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS:
Well, we're only trying to find out the truth. NARRATOR: But why? What is it that's so top secret
that Giorgio and his camera crew are not even allowed
to film the entrance from public property? [music playing] So it was exactly
how you said. Fortification,
barbed wire fence. I had about five minutes and
then a police car showed up. And said, well, I think
it's time for you to leave. So I think you did exactly
the right thing to get out there while you could. But you know that A,
it is operational, and B, it's obviously important. They send the
security people out. I guarantee you,
they had eyes on you from the moment you started. NARRATOR: Could this
seemingly innocuous building, and the underground facilities
it lead to, be continuing the extraterrestrial
investigations that were previously carried
out at Rudloe Manor? Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes. And suggest that they are not
only looking into UFO reports, but mysterious
phenomenon that has been happening in the
county of Wiltshire for thousands of years. [music playing] – I think this is it right here.
– Yes. Here we are. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Great. NARRATOR: Author and
historian Andrew Collins has lived in or near
Wiltshire for most of his life and has investigated the
many strange happenings associated with the area.
– How are you? – All right.
– You good? Yeah, you? NARRATOR: Giorgio
and Nick arrange to meet with him to discuss
why the Ministry of Defense might have chosen this
location to be the headquarters of their UFO investigations. You're looking at the dead
center of weird activity in the whole of Great Britain. We've got UFOs. We've got crop circles. We've got the most intensive
amount of prehistoric sites. Ancient mounds. Barrows. Plus, we have, obviously, the
strange activity that surrounds places like Rudloe
Manor and Corsham, as a whole, where we are today. NICK POPE: : Absolutely. And some of these sites, I
don't think people realize, but they are older than
the Egyptian pyramids. Absolutely. We've got here Stonehenge
and Avebury itself. Most people think
that these sites go back 4,500 to 5,000 years. But they, in fact, go back
at least 10,000 years. I lived in the
center of Avebury, which is the largest
stone circle complex in the whole of the world. UFOs have been seen in the
vicinity of the stones there. Sometimes they have
been seen to actually come in to the circle and land. Other times, they have
manifested into strange shapes, figures, things like that. [music playing] All around the
country, there are certain areas
where UFOs manifest more than anywhere else. They're called window areas. And I believe that the area
around Stonehenge and Avebury is exactly one of
those window areas.

Restoration Home: One Year On (Episode 1) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

Restoration Home documented the stories of six historic buildings at risk of being lost forever. Six new owners made a commitment to transform them into their dream homes. But there was more to rescuing these buildings than anyone imagined.

Kieran Long revisits Sandford House and Abbey Lane for an update on their ongoing restoration and to reveal new stories that have come to light since the programmes were first broadcast. He meets the talented craftspeople who helped save them and explores the art of craft, how skills passed down from generation to generation make it possible for these properties to be authentically restored.

Ralph and Evelyn sunk every penny they had into trying to save Sandford House near Dundee, a rare arts and crafts home built in 1902. One of the key features of the house was the dramatic sunken hall and its enormous bay window containing more than seven hundred individual panes of glass, most of which needed repairing by expert glass restorer Liz Rowley. Kieran returns to witness first-hand the meticulous work that Liz and her fellow conservators have carried out. Meanwhile, Ralph and Evelyn receive a very special visitor, the granddaughter of Sandford House’s original creator, but what will she make of the 21st-century restoration?

The successful completion of Abbey Lane in Southam, Warwickshire, owes as much to the determination of Sally and Stuart as it does to carpenter Brendan White. He managed to restore the shockingly frail 16th-century timber skeleton but hasn’t returned since the house was complete. After the hundreds of hours he dedicated to saving it, how will Brendan react now that it’s finally a home? And, after all they went through, is it everything Sally and Stuart dreamt it would be?

Crumbling, ancient houses are brought back to life by passionate owners as they restore and convert them into striking 21st century homes, unravelling the properties’ extraordinary past lives through their architectural and social history.

Grand Designs meets Who Do You Think You Are? Presented by Caroline Quentin, Restoration Home follows private owners of crumbling historic buildings as they save them from ruin and restore them into wonderful 21st century homes. With the help of architectural expert, Kieran Long, and social historian, Dr. Kate Williams, Restoration Home turns detective to unravel the properties’ astonishing lives. As the new owners transform the buildings into their homes, the family trees of these crumbling ruins start to emerge. Tales of Kings and Queens, murder, civil unrest, moments that shocked and shaped Britain are revealed as these buildings are brought back to life.

NARRATOR: On January 18, 2017,
at the National History Museum of Transylvania, ancient
astronaut theorists Giorgio Tsoukalos and Eric von
Daniken were offered a rare opportunity to
get a firsthand look at the Wedge of Aiud. Museum curator Anna Gruia
has taken it out of a storage locker where it has
been deliberately hidden from the public
since the early 1970s. OK, I'm just going
to put my gloves on. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS:
This is great. ANA GRUIA: So this is it. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Oh,
OK, this is strange. ERICH VON DANIKEN:
It's very heavy. Touch it.
Take it. It's heavy. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Wow. This was found at a
depth of 10 meters, which is about 30 feet in the ground.
ANA GRUIA: Yes. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS:
Yes, and here this is where they took
the sample out in here to make the analysis. And here, you see two pieces
that are broken off sort of. So maybe it was attached or
something, but very strange. So what does the museum
have to say about this? This is a very strange piece. It is. It is a strange
piece for us as well. As historians, we do not
consider it a historical object that we're used to. We don't know what
it was used for, and we acknowledge these
uncertainties about its dating and its composition as well. ERICH VON DANIKEN: So for
what can you use this? It looks like a
hammer or a shovel. But, Giorgio, what is the
word in English [non-english]?? Oh, an excavator tooth. Well, it looks like this. It could have been
something like this. But these excavator tubes are
never made out of aluminium. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS:
No, it's too weak. ERICH VON DANIKEN:
Aluminium is too soft. They are made out of steel,
especially hard steel. So it could not be that. So we have a real mystery here. But you see this patina
over this whole object? And this creates
another problem. GIORGIO TSOUKALOS: Yes, because
you cannot fake a patina. It's impossible to
artificially create a patina. NARRATOR: The patina is a
thin coating of various metal compounds that
forms on the surface of the metal during exposure
to atmospheric elements. The older the
object, the thicker the patina layer will be. It takes hundreds,
if not thousands, of years for a thick
layer of patina, as this apparently
is, for it to develop. Yes, we agree. There are two basic
problems– one, that aluminum was not
invented at the age when we presume this was in use. And second, it's the
patina, as you noted. ERICH VON DANIKEN: Which
speaks for the date, for the age of it. So we still have
a mystery here. Thank you very much for
showing us this object, because I know that there was a
time when nobody knew where it was, somewhere in a box in the
back, which means present-day archeology has a problem. And they're doing
magnificent work. But when something like
this comes along, you know, we should investigate
this and not put it in a box in the back. Definitely. It did depend on mentalities
and official position. ERICH VON DANIKEN: Yes. [chuckling] It isn't currently
exhibited because we have to admit as
historians that we do not know more details about it. For us, it's just
baffling at this point. But taking the logic further,
this conflicting information could have just two
solutions so far– one, that it is
really not so old. And the context is
irrelevant, and the patina was somehow produced in
special circumstances. So it's a new object,
strangely preserved, let's say. And the second option
is, of course, that it's not of terrestrial origin. In all of your
adventures, how does this compare to some
of the other things that are inexplicable? I am helpless. I have no idea. That says it all right
there, very bizarre. Bizarre. I've known about this thing
since the early 1990s. And I have to tell you that
looking at it in person was a dream come true. And it's a very strange thing. I mean, how do you explain this? It certainly looks as if it
was part of a larger object.

The Man Who Killed Richard III (British History) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

This is a story of conspiracy and betrayal, of a lust for power and a lost allegiance; the story of the man who killed King Richard III.

In this documentary we set out to prove that the Welshman Sir Rhys ap Thomas, master of Carew Castle in Pembrokeshire, killed King Richard III, changing the course of British history.

Sir Rhys ap Thomas had sworn allegiance to King Richard III. He had accumulated lands and status in Wales that were dependent, in part, on his loyalty to Richard. But at the Battle of Bosworth he betrayed him, fighting on the side of Henry Tudor. He dealt the fatal blow to Richard III.

We uncover what drove him Rhys ap Thomas to betray not only his master but a King – and we reveal his remarkable story; from a childhood embroiled in the War of the Roses and exile to the continent, to a determined and ambitious man who brought an abrupt end to the Plantagenet line, carving the way for his own rise to power at the heart of the Tudor dynasty.

Britain's Slave Trade: The Gold & Silver Trade | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

The Gold & Silver Trade looks at how the business of slavery was a case of slave-trading by complicit Africans, fuelled by the greed of African kings.

Britain’s Slave Trade reveals the shameful truth behind this liberal facade, showing how the economic, social and cultural life of Britain would have been unrecognisable without slavery. Britain’s Slave Trade explains how a middling European power transformed itself into the ruler of the waves, tracing the impact this had on the British way of life and taking in the Industrial Revolution, the beginnings of Empire and the birth of modern racism along the way. It also unearths startling evidence showing how many families that think of themselves as ‘pure’ English stock are in fact descended from slave ancestors.

Ancient Rome Series EP 19 – Mithridates the Poison King

Views:0|Rating:nan|View Time:5:42Minutes|Likes:0|Dislikes:0
The Poison King Mithridates: Rome’s Deadliest Enemy – by Adrienne Mayor. A dramatised book review by Damian Amamoo

hi everyone welcome back to episode 19 of our ancient Rome series that poison King Mithridates Rome's deadliest enemy you remember last time Mithra Daley's was really in a bind he was trapped on the beach and had nowhere to go but he made it through and he was eventually able to get across to sulla and establish a peace hooray the peace of darkness and Salah goes back to Rome and now Mithridates has ten years of peace how fantastic is that after all this fighting he uses the time to perfect his recipe that daily tonic that he has every day with herbs and things in accordant method ation and that ends up becoming very very popular in fact after after Mithra Daley's died much further down the track every Roman Emperor after Nero starts his day with a myth reduction to the exact same recipe and it grew and grew so the Royals and aristocrats through the ages including Charlemagne Alfred the Great Henry the eighth and even Elizabeth the first all had a myth reduction to start their day and that was often served to them in these ornate apothecary jars that show the life and times of Mithradates the ego bit of trivia we get back to the story we had the king of Bithynia dies and passes won't be Queens Bithynia to Rome and Rome sent a governor over to take it back Mithra daddy's looks at this from his ten years and goes up that's not fair that's breaking the peace of darkness it's all on again starts getting his armies organized and Rome responds by sending over lucullus remember the colors now with about forty thousand men and they group together and it looks like it's going to be all on and they just actually settle down in the battlefield face off against each other then out of nowhere would you believe it a comet comes out of the sky and lands in between the two armies and they both go oh my god and of course they consult this season what are we going to do and it there's huge crater and they both decide to fight another day Mithra ladies then decides that he's going to do something else and makes a bit of a bad decision I think he decides to attack a walled city of Sisyphus and this was a poor decision for a number of reasons one Mithra day this wasn't very good at attacking walled cities remember he didn't do very well against roads – by focusing all his attack on a walled city he took his eye off the colors who could then maneuver around him and three well Mithra dailies had a hundred thousand men and he fed these men from ships arriving with food in the port and then these the spoon had to be trucked inland to Mithra data's army and it had to come through a mountain pass now Mithra date has held that mountain pass so the food delivery was safeguarded through but me through de DS was lulled into a false sense of security by a new Roman general who called majus who had defected over to his side and Magister said look we don't need to worry about holding that mountain pass me through dailies because have a look the calluses got all of those embryos really poorly disciplined legions in his army shortly they'll just stage a no mutiny remember last episode and take over and we won't have to worry about anything at all they'll just fold on their own so let's move the mountain pass art and by the way did you hear that some slave upstart called Spartacus has come out from nowhere and pulled together of 70,000 men is winning against Rome it'll be easy so all of this played into me through daily psychology and he made a really bad error and recalled his men from the mountain pasture of course the Colossus men took the mountain path straightaway and blocked the food so me through dailies now found himself with a hundred thousand men and no food so he really increases his effort to try and take this walled city but he's not very good at it and he builds these big siege towers and they get blown down by the wind and he he's pelting it with fire arrows but the walls are holding and when the walls do finally fall a little bit the indomitable syczyk estate they build it back up before Mithra data's his men start to get in and he there's huge amounts of grain and food inside the city but Mithra Davises can't get it and his men are starving and in fact it's three weeks down the track and they're starting to eat camels they're starting to eat grass and worse Mithra daddy's orders a tunnel dug underneath to try and come up under the city of saker's but the colors his about it and digs a countertop and and meets them halfway and then sends a phony message to Mithra daddies that there's a member of the sickest council of elders that wants to meet me through daddies underneath inside the tunnel to show me through daddies the easiest way to get into Suzuka Underground me through daddies Toni desperate goes down into the tunnel into the darkness to meet this phony elder and then of course lucullus has planted a Centurion then the Centurion jumps up with the sword straight towards me through daddies he sees a tiny glint in the darkness at the last minute leaps back slams the door behind him and the sword just us into the wall and they have it another Houdini escape for Mithra days we'll see you next week

World War II: 1942 & Hitlers Soft Underbelly (Part 1) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

The British fought the Second World War to defeat Hitler. This film asks why, then, did they spend so much of the conflict battling through North Africa and Italy? Historian David Reynolds reassesses Winston Churchill’s conviction that the Mediterranean was the ‘soft underbelly’ of Hitler’s Europe. Travelling to Egypt and Italian battlefields like Cassino, scene of some of the worst carnage in Western Europe, he shows how, in reality, the ‘soft underbelly’ became a dark and dangerous obsession for Churchill. David Reynolds reveals a Prime Minister very different from the jaw-jutting bulldog of Britain’s ‘finest hour’ in 1940. A leader who was politically vulnerable at home, desperate to shore up a crumbling British empire abroad, losing faith in his army and even ready to deceive his American allies if it might delay fighting head to head against the Germans in northern France. The film marks the seventieth anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein in 1942.

MIKE WOLFE: Dani and I are
heading out on an epic journey. DANIELLE COLBY: We've got
a really important mission. MIKE WOLFE: A year
ago, we bought a 1935 Auburn Phaeton
convertible from Jan and Sandy in South Dakota. Oh, my gosh. Wow. An Auburn wasn't a car
for the common man. It was a car for movie stars
and the rich and famous. I tell you what. I'd do $26,000 on the car. $26,050. That's– I like you. $26,050. Oh, my god. Woo! MIKE WOLFE: We did the deal. We pulled it out. And I made a promise to Jan
that I've never forgotten. I just drove it
up the driveway. That's it? You never drove it
any farther than that? No. I tell you what, if we
get this thing running, I'm going to bring it back here,
and you're going to drive it. Oh, that will be wonderful. MIKE WOLFE: I want
to keep my word. So 13-plus hours later, we
finally make it to Doug Pray's in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Frankie and I picked Doug
Pray a couple of years ago. And his father bought out the
Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg factory when it closed down. This guy is an expert when
it comes to Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg restoration. So he's the go-to guy
for repairing these cars. Oh, my gosh. [gasps] This is the one? This is the car. It looks amazing. Doug! DANIELLE COLBY: Hey. MIKE WOLFE: What's up, man? So what we're doing
is we're driving this car back to South Dakota. I made a commitment to
the guy I bought it from. And unfortunately, he's
passed away since then. Oh, wow.
OK. Yeah. The first thing that I
thought of when I heard that Jan passed away was Sandy. And the second
thing I thought of was I'm not going to be able to
keep my word to this man now. Both of those things
weighed heavy on my mind. So you know, we're going
to go see his wife. And you know, I just feel
like I need this trip. We need this trip. Yeah. You know, we need this trip. There's no better
way to honor him and this car than to
drive it to South Dakota. I'm going to fire this thing up. Get in, Frank. My beard ain't that thick yet. [engine starts] That's it. MIKE WOLFE: This car
is running sweet, man. This is probably how
Jan remembered it when he was younger. Thanks, buddy. Man, you did a good job. Mike, that looks good. MIKE WOLFE: Bringing
this car back to life and honoring it for what it is
is just as awesome as finding it in the first place. There they go, all
the way to South Dakota. I think he'll make it. DOUG PRAY: I think he's
headed in the wrong direction, but maybe he'll find his way. MIKE WOLFE: The whole
thing seems like a dream– finding the car in
a barn, sending it to a guy that's
the Auburn expert, and then picking it up
and taking it home, man. Even though Jan isn't
with us, he is still the reason we took this trip. That'd be awesome. DANIELLE COLBY: This is
going to be pretty cool. I think this is going to be
a little emotional, honestly. It's going to be
pretty incredible. Oh, my god. MIKE WOLFE: Hey, honey. Hi! Oh, how wonderful. – This is Danielle.
– How are you doing? Nice to finally meet you. This is Danielle. She works with us. Oh. Want to see the car? Remember, I told you we
were going to come back? Yeah. I didn't really expect
the car to come back. But when they came back
today, I was so excited. This is the original
leather interior. DANIELLE COLBY: And he
put the top down for you. Yeah, the top actually works. But I figured
you'd want it down. Yeah. You know? Mechanically, the car's
been gone through. But we really just
paid attention to keeping the history
of the car, you know? It's beautiful. – Isn't it beautiful?
– Yeah. Look at all the
different colors of blue. It is. It just took my breath away. It was so nice to see
it again and working. MIKE WOLFE: Do you
think Jan would approve? Oh, he would love it. He would. Do I get a ride? Yes. Yes, you get a ride. I want to get something. We didn't come all the way
here without giving you a ride. The feels that came
from that moment were just a little
intense for me. I didn't really anticipate
that kind of a– [sighs] it was a
cry fest in my head. Here's Jan, and he's
going to ride with us. MIKE WOLFE: No! Yeah. Oh, I love that. All right, here. Let me get the
door for you guys. Where do you want to go? Down the road. Woo-hoo! Down the road we go. Here we go, Jan! I knew he was looking
down and saying, hooray. Yeah! Oh, my gosh. MIKE WOLFE: I figured
you'd want the top down. I wanted it down. I love it down. I felt like I was 20 years old. Take me to the casino, sir. [laughter] All right. We're doing it. First thing she wanted to
do was hit the casino so she could show all of her friends. And it was the
cutest thing ever. We wanted this to be a
celebration of Jan's life Hey, look at the car for Jan! Let's go get an old-fashioned. Let's do it. And some French toast. Woo! Woo! Let me grab that for you.

Mystery Of The Cocaine Mummies (Ancient Egypt) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

Equinox brings us this investigation of a mystery that is baffling Egyptologists. The case calls into question whole areas of accepted scientific fact from botany, through chemistry to archaeology. In 1992, routine tests on a mummy in a Munich museum revealed high body levels of cocaine and nicotine. But such substances were not available in ancient Egypt, coming as they do from the Americas – not, apparently, to be “discovered” for thousands of years after the passing of the Egyptian dynasties. Are the mummies fakes; were the substances from plants that have since disappeared or were there, in fact, trade routes between Egypt and South America that predate accepted chronology?

– As you know, this is the first
of the three challenges. – Uh-huh. So the bet is I go
up against Nick, Brian, and Robert in
a cowboy challenge. – I know I?m more of a cowboy
than you, for sure. – Let?s settle this
on the playing field. Let?s do some challenges and
decide who is the cowboy. – I?ve castrated a bull,
turned it into a steer. So every cowboy should
know how to ride a bull. We got a mechanical one
here set up. [ moos ] – Are those horns real?
– Yeah. – Zack.
– Zack, nice to meet you. – Nick, nice to meet you.
– Hey, buddy. – This is Eddie. – I?ve never done bull-riding
before in the past. And Nick?s from Las Vegas– I reckon he?s rode bulls
a lot more than I have. I?m really not sure
how this is gonna go. – When you guys get up there, you?re gonna grab
onto that rope, hold on as tight as you can.
We?re gonna start slow. We?ll work our way up faster
and faster until you fall off, and that?s your time.
Let?s see who stays on longest. – Okay.
I?ll show you how it?s done. – Okay.
We?ll see. I don?t think Eddie?s gonna
be good at bull-riding at all. He?s so big and cumbersome, that thing?s gonna move
and he?s gonna go flying. – There it is.
– Oh [bleep]. – What?s the weight limit
on that thing? Ready, set, go! – Okay, we?re gonna go up
a little bit faster. – Whoa, two hands! Already! – Well, that didn?t
last very long. – Got yourself 11.13. – There is no way I?m losing
this bull-riding competition. I?ve actually been on
the back of a couple horses. I?ll hold on to this thing. – 11.13 is the time to beat. – Here we go. – Okay, we?re going
a little faster. – Yes! Yes! Oh, I?m so sorry, Nick. – I?m just gonna go ahead
and put this down. – Yes! – Somehow, I get a feeling by the way that thing jerked,
somebody hit the dial. – Nope. – I swear to god,
I did not touch it. – He–his hands were off. – Oh–I got you down as
10 and a half seconds. – All right, you won. The guy running the bull ride
told me that his time was kosher,
so I accepted the loss. But I absolutely
think Eddie cheated. You cannot touch the bull
with your other hand. If you do, you are disqualified. Frankly, I call bull. – So much for being
a big cowboy, eh? "Ooh, I castrated a bull,
that makes me a cowboy." Who?s been castrated today, eh? [ cackling ]
– Yeah. – That?s one down,
two more to go. I?m feeling pretty
good about this now. – Don?t feel too good about it.
– Oh, I am, don?t worry. – All right, buddy,
you ready for this? – I?m not ready, mate,
it?s freezing cold… – It?s gorgeous.
– The ground is like slush. What is it, like, minus 20? – Nick won the bull-riding
competition. For our second cowboy
challenge event, Brian has children me to
a tent-building competition. – First one to erect the tent,
get it fully set up, staked into the ground,
is the winner. – So the first one
in the tent wins. – Whatever, that works.
– Okay. Three, two, one, go. – All right. – Tied a horrible knot in my
just in the lace already. – Oh, God, it sucks. – Oh… have you done
that on purpose or what? – Definitely not. – Have you ever erected
a tent before, Brian? – Yeah, I have.
It?s been a long time. Have you ever done it? – Me and your mum went
camping a while back. – Oh, did you?
– Yeah. Is this upside-down, or– – I don?t know, good luck. The sad part is
there?s a good chance I?m not gonna fit inside this. – That?s not that sad. Some of these things haven?t
even got holes in them. What the hell
is going on with this tent? There?s no instructions
anywhere. There?s just a load of poles,
material, everything?s inside-out,
the zippers are broken. You?ve gotta be
a rocket scientist to put this thing together. Which way is, like, bottom,
and which way?s top? What the hell is this?
What the hell is that? I seriously can?t work this out. – How many questions
do you think you?re gonna ask before you get going there? – I?m pretty sure
my tent?s inside-out, but I?m not even bothered. – Hey, I thought you could
beat me at anything, Eddie. – Brian is the slowest human on
Earth when he?s not injured. And now he?s injured, and
he?s putting this tent together faster than Bear Grylls. – Oh. One-all, bud. Man, it feels good. Feels good to just crush you. Best cowboy ever. – I know I?m better
than Brian at building tents, but just not that one.
That was a stupid tent. – One-all, buddy. – Here we are. All right, Ed, your third
and final cowboy challenge. – Eddie challenged the three
of us to a cowboy competition. He beat Nick in the bull-riding. He lost to Brian in the
tent-building competition. And now it?s all up to me. Hey, it all comes down to this. – Uh-huh.
– You and me. – What we doing,
just shooting these bottles? – Well, we?re gonna practice
with these bottles, and then we?re gonna do
what?s called a quick-draw. I?ve been watching cowboy
movies my whole life. I?ve never had an opportunity
to quick-draw with somebody. I decided to organize
a little gun-slinging competition
between me and Ed. Nothing more
Old West than that. – You feeling lucky, punk? – I?m feeling pretty lucky. I do have a little
experience with guns. – Looks like a real gun.
– Feels like a real gun. We got a couple of
actual pistols from the sheriff?s department
that shoot paint bullets. – Now I?ve never seen
a paint bullet look like, these little round things.
– Yeah, I know. – Those look like
they?re gonna hurt. – I got a feeling this
is gonna hurt a lot more than a normal paintball. You wanna get some
practice shots in? – Definitely. You go first.
– Okay, fine. – You go first.
Top right, red. – Top right, red?
– Yeah. [ gun pops, bottle clinks ] No, I hit it. – I could actually
see the paint on it. – On the– – It?s a tiny little dot,
I can see it. – Oh, you?re right! They?re for law enforcement,
so they?ve got less paint in them than a
regular paintball gun. – Well, I?m not worried after
you taking, like, 10 seconds to get your aim. – Yeah.
– Okay. – Let?s see what you got. – Boom! – I think that worked. – That worked.
That definitely worked. – All right, feel pretty
comfortable with this. You good?
– Yeah. – You ready to do it?
– Uh-huh. – So basically, as soon as
one of us grabs, both of us go. – Okay. Hang on, I don?t wanna get
paint on my clothes, though. – No, no, I got us set up, bud. – What you got? – You didn?t think I was
gonna take you to the show and not get you dressed up
for the ball, did you? I?ve got us nice
little gear here. – Oh, yeah. It?s like the tent
all over again. Is this inside-out
or upside-down? [laughter] – You look like a cowboy. – I feel like a cowboy.
– Yeah? – Uh-huh.
– We?ll see. Let?s just make it simple: the person who gets
shot first, loses. – Okay. – I?m the last thing between
Eddie and winning this thing, and this one?s for America. Wait, wait, wait.
Safety first. Being that they are
actual firearms, I wanted us to be safe. – [bleep] shot my finger,
you [bleep]. And I shot you,
you didn?t feel it. – What can I say? USA. Woo!
– I shot you first. – Where?
Show me where you shot me. – Right in the torso.
Right in the torso. – That?s the way it works
out in the Wild West. – You can find a spot,
you can have it. I?ll give it to you. Yeah?
– No, I?m not having it. I?m not having it. – Check it out.
Take it–there?s nothing here. I?m sure this is how it
went down in the Old West. "Did I getcha?" I know I shot you,
you know I shot you. – Yeah, I know you shot me,
but I shot you first. – He couldn?t prove that
he hit me, and I win. – I?m still more cowboy
than any of you. – Bro, you should just stick
to your tea and crumpets. Keep worshipping your queen. – Yeah, God save the queen.
– God save the queen. – [bleep] – You want me to get
you some apple pie? – No. – You wanna go watch
a baseball game? – Yep.
– "Yep." Let?s go.

NARRATOR: Washington DC, 2013. At the Citizen
Hearing on Disclosure, six former members of the
United States Congress listened to testimony from
former high-ranking government and military officials, along
with a variety of scientists and researchers, about
extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race. One of the speakers was
former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer. [applause] The American people and
the people of the world have a right to know. UFOs are as real as the
airplanes flying overhead. We live in a cosmos
teeming with life. NICK POPE: To have a former
Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister come out and say
that the UFO phenomenon is real and that we're being
visited and that there's a government cover-up, is, in
and of itself, sensational. And he also expressed the view
that some alien civilizations are concerned about
humanity, and do not want to share technology
with the human race for fear that we are not
ready for it, that we will abuse that technology. We are, after all,
a race that has used atomic bombs on our own people. NARRATOR: Other distinguished
speakers at the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure included nuclear
physicist Stanton Friedman, retired Air Force Captain Robert
Salas, and a former official for the Federal
Aviation Administration, John Callahan, all
of whom corroborated Paul Hellyer's assertion
that we are being visited by other-worldly beings. They also claim that these
visitors have an interest in our technological
advancements, especially when it comes
to nuclear weapons. These objects know,
in great detail, how our missiles operate. They can shut down our
missiles at any time. If you release that information
to the public, what do you say, then, about, you know– what kind of defense do we
have against these things? NARRATOR: Could the
UFO phenomenon be real, and is it possible that
extraterrestrials have been monitoring
and, perhaps, even interfering with the
technological advancement of mankind? Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes, and suggest that the
earliest and, perhaps, strongest evidence of this can
be found in the Biblical story of the Tower of Babel. According to the book of
Genesis, the Tower of Babel was built in Mesopotamia
after the Great Flood. Some accounts suggest it reached
nearly 30 stories, or 300 feet, tall. It was described as a bridge
between heaven and earth, built by a unified people. JONATHAN YOUNG: Someone got
the idea of building a tower– a tower to heaven– to make a name for ourselves. Well, this starts
to become hubris, where you start
challenging the gods. This is a key idea. A certain kind of
arrogance that is starting to think that you are a god. And so, as the tower
lifts up, God is annoyed. DAVID CHILDRESS: When you
look at the story of the Tower of Babel, it's essentially a
story of mankind developing technology and
being like the gods, being like our
extraterrestrial creators. And therefore, mankind
was, in a sense, kept from reaching a
technological level. WILLIAM HENRY: The word
"Babel" means "gate to God." And some believe
that the gate to God was, in fact, a stargate– a ladder, tower, or stairway
that reached into the heavens. And so when God saw that
humankind were building a stargate, this was too much. Well, what happened next? Powers that be watched. They observed. They spoke to one
another, saying, we have to descend to the
Earth to bring an assault upon the builders of the tower. What kind of an assault? The Biblical text is very clear. They touched the
minds of the people and corrupted their
spirit of unity. WILLIAM BRAMLEY: The
Tower of Babel story really relates to a decision
that these so-called gods had made. Human beings were
not only supposed to speak different languages. They were also supposed
to fight with each other. They were supposed to come
into conflict with each other. And as long as they're
squabbling with each other, they're not going to unite
and fight against you. GEORGE NOORY: I believe
whoever got involved realized, these human beings are coming
along pretty darn fast. We got to– we got to slow
this down a little bit, and that's what they did.

Yeah! EDDIE HALL: Let's go, Obie. As soon as you picked
it up, you were shaking like a dog having a [bleep]. NICK BEST: I'm not
looking forward to this. This is going to be rough. BRIAN SHAW: Oh, wow. That's way bigger than I
thought it was going to be. BRIAN SHAW: Yeah, totally. We want to investigate
the $15,000 silver dollar squat that Paul Anderson
did at the Mapes Casino. If we were to fill the boxes
completely filled with coins– what did it come out to? 4,209 pounds. Wow. There's absolutely
no way that thing was all the way of silver dollars. EDDIE HALL: So we knew
there must have been a fake wall, then,
for those coins to come all the way to the top. BRIAN SHAW: Based
on our calculations, the actual setup that he
squatted was 720 pounds. Come on. Yeah! Let's go, Obie. Pull! Stay where you are. Stay where you are. Let's go, Obie. BRIAN SHAW: Picking up the
squat setup for the first time was pretty crazy. It was shaking, so
trying to stay stable was a very hard thing to do. Let's go, Obie. You got this. Let's go. Up. Good. Down. Set yourself. Set yourself. Big breath. Come on, Obie. And up! Easy. Great job, Obie. That a boy. Awesome, man. The boxes are so awkward,
it works our whole core. It was so wobbly. Oh, my god. It was the hardest squat
at that weight I've ever had in my entire life. EDDIE HALL: The squat
itself was a scary set up. It really was. Let's go! Nothing. Nothing. Because we had all our weight
in the front of the boxes. Ease into it. Don't jerk it up. Good. Down. Rack clear. As soon as you picked
it up, you were shaking like a dog having a [bleep]. Get up! Good squat. Rack. Rack! Good job. [shouting] It was just such
a scary thing to do. It's like squatting
during an earthquake. The only way I can describe it. Let's get this done, then. Come on. It's only weight. I'm not looking forward to this. This is going to be rough. Come on. Nice and easy. Gentle into it. Come on. Good. Good! Stay where you are. Find the balance. Find the balance.
– I've got it. Come on. Come on. Let's go, Nick! Sound it off. You've got it. You've got it. Easy. [shouting] [bleep] No, no, no. Do this. Do this. We're good.
We're good. Drop it. OK, drop it, drop it, drop it. I lost my balance squatting
the coins due to the bar being whippy.
– You're all right? Everything OK? Yeah, I just gotta get
these knee rests off. Yeah, just breathe. That was probably the shakiest
bar I've ever put on my back. I couldn't stay stable with it. And as I started to squat
down, I just lost it forwards. There was nothing
I could do, and it just slammed me right down. Do you want to
do it again, or no? I wouldn't, man. That scared me, bro. And honestly, I
almost hurt myself trying to pick that up off you. Yeah. You don't have
anything to prove, man. Yeah, but I've got
to prove it to me. It's up to you, Nick. I want it. You want it. I want it. All right, buddy. All right. I can't believe he's
about to do this again. That doesn't seem smart to me. Focus. Let's go. Tight, tight. Come on. Step up. Let's go! Plant your feet
and don't move them. Do not move.
– Come on. Let's go.
Come on, Nick. You're right where
you need to be, Nick. Let's go.
Come on! Ease into it. East into it. There.
Good. Free. Your weight. Go. And up! Good push. That a boy. All right. That's better. Let me get some. Coming up with that, and
coming back and getting it was definitely one of the best
feelings I ever got in my life. I'm really glad I did this. I mean, I love
Paul Anderson, so– You do realize that Paul
Anderson was 24 years old when he did this lift, right? And so you are more
than double his age, which is a feat in itself, man. Yeah, that's awesome, man. Well done, buddy. Really, really good. Thanks, guy. Yeah. Aw, come here, bro. Yeah. Come on, bud. Group hug. Bring it in.

Washington last breath [Laughter] how do they know we were coming huh we've been watched every step of the way since we cross the Alleghenies now the French have eyes everywhere hmm I've called Indians I have brought this medic with me from Canada I am a grateful measure that you provide the opportunity to drink it salty your health coming up super about the life I have not only read a letter but I have sent it to my superior we are ready for now and envoy with a reply as to the contents is the matter of royal sovereignty that my young friend is the impasse new English says the territory belong to R or secondary French say it is a property of Duty Cannes my King desires that the French do not encroach on any land south of Canada and if we refuse to obey the order of your king then my governor would be empowered to drive you out by force if I do not to make idle threats young man I thought you not make idle threats sir I know my king and I do not involve his name Brutus me there you see this is how it begins perhaps we are striking the first blow this very room major you and I could be starting a war that summer that spread cut Mouser to measure this messenger arrived last night he figures they just let you shiver the wind to these good ray patrasche Urantia me John the commander awaits you we are not enemies yet here is the reply we do not find ourselves obliged to obey your king we have here to stay this territory is French vous voyez measure [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] sure you look like an Indian I can't tell you how good it is to see you again alive and with your hair on your head come come come you're also worried about you but after he plied me with a fine French wine I found some Pierre charming for a Frenchman George you back how many weeks months I should say did you see any Indians or those terrible Frenchmen Sally look at George has been telling us about the expedition go on George would you sit down well actually I have more vital news we are to fight the French fight yes if diplomacy will not get them out of the Ohio Valley we must drive them out Oh the House of Burgesses will fund a regiment of 300 men we hope to enlist Catawba and Cherokee Indians from the Carolinas three companies of British regulars will be sent from the other colonies Colonel Joshua fry is commanding officer and I am to be second-in-command my boy how extraordinary that your dream come true how proud Lawrence would be with what rank I am lieutenant colonel yes I've never seen a left-handed colonel blush George George's home good to see you again mother and happy home for the family about time you took care of your own instead of watching over Malloy and sovereign Empire I trust you're home for good this time well I'm sorry mother I'm to form an army to defend us against the friendship I leave tomorrow you cannot [Laughter] I'm looking forward to this hairs grow hey pretty uniform mr. man relations Koerner washing thank you very much you look thirsty come in hard journey huh yeah I got something for you mr. Washington good good no our mission is to strengthen the garrison on the Monongahela River but our commanding officer Colonel Frey hasn't arrived yet and he won't sir the word is that he's either sick or just got no stomach to fight the French so what's our first job commander hmm well if we are to push further into the wilderness I need more horses food pay for the men I write to Williamsburg to complain and I get nothing but silence and I need more fighting men where can we find them Indians my scouts report the French are sending presents by the wagon loads to all the Indians I've got nothing to counter with well I think we know a few Indians are still hate the French [Applause] hit the down arrow to bring to miss only two sentries on duty bless them in those tents fast asleep Frankie likes to snooze after he eats na come on get down [Applause] [Applause] John Washington has murdered an ambassador we attacked the French on all sides and after an engagement of several minutes we killed 10 and took 20 prisoners no state of war exists between England and France as a hot-tempered young colonel assumed the authority to start such a war by shooting French ambassador's sir so we allowed travel Washington to speak for himself these officers pretended they were coming on an embassy mission but as you will see by these instructions Washington has enclosed captured French papers which established that the party he attacked was in fact sent to spy on us do you realize what that means governor no matter what your Washington says he did kill an ambassador an ambassador and a spy you have no propose we can debate here in this room far removed from a battlefield but one Colonel Washington for that pause to consider in the fury British regulars are arriving [Applause] in Washington Captain James McKay His Majesty's regular company afoot here at the request of your Virginia governor and Burgesses welcome to Fort Necessity captain Makai I believe the first order of business is to provide cover for the men and rum for the commander perhaps it's not the King's Own but it'll do indeed to His Majesty King George the second hi who is sovereign Majesty now sir may I have your muster roll so I may see how many effectives I have to oppose the French captain this is my command I will see your muster I think not any regular officer ranks any provincial officer and I have been in command here for six months and I have been an officer in His Majesty's regular service for 18 years my commission comes directly from governor Dinwiddie and mine from the king himself by God is my king too sir and I resent your assumption that His Majesty's is contemptuous of us provincials as you regulars are cut I was scouting about four miles north of here when I spotted the Frenchies heading this way it's a lot of they got savages with a Duke but we'll make our stand here get them into it they're coming first if you won't fight him to be captain the coyote be obliged to have you fight with me too many of them and too few of us making tons of her long animal stranger it's gonna be a trap [Applause] [Applause] looking around [Applause] cuz they're not gonna stop they want to end this right now or sundown or the spirits come out on the grades [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] stand by soldiers stand fast situation is hopeless I suggest the last four terms surrender that is for you to decide sir it's not command sir they might want to offer our side the terms and I go out on the white flag when prompted internal girl [Applause] yes talk to the mr. Vadra they're accusing you of actually assassinated Yuma field and inciting the surrender you agreed with that the terms of the surrender our generous governor the French protected us from the Indians and we gave up the fort with full military honors didn't you understand the damn preamble obviously you and captain Makai slide without reading it Landrum had to translate sir we we did insist on certain changes a hundred of my men were either dead or wounded one word from the French commander in the Indians would have fallen on us I had to decide colonel the French had trick you into signing a confession of murder which means that you you alone Colonel Washington have given them the legal right to break the peace of declare war on us my conscience is clear sir in dealing with you and on the field of battle you're quite sure of that you weren't there governor how can you know what it was like what a sermon sir I will not stand for it and I will not stand for being treated as an incompetent provincial average of hordes to me young man I did what I thought had to be done no man can do more mr. Washington I am reorganizing our military forces they will no longer be a single regiment but ten independent companies you can have one of them if you so choose with a demotion of drank from Colonel – captain you sir have helped the French tie a string of pike raksin from the tail of the British lion which will stir a commotion in the houses of parliament and there sire for many years to come good day – sir but did what is not the last word charge we Fairfax's are not without influence in the Tidewater you know oh well if the governor thinks that he can protect the frontier with empty resolutions and broken promises untracked no words can describe the feelings will what it's like to lead men against an overwhelming enemy to see them slaughtered before your very eyes all my life I'd heard of the thrill of battle the glory and when I first heard the bullets whistle I thought there was something charming in the south but in the end it's nothing but blood won't it crying out it I've done the will good day mr. Fairfax how good of you to call my boy but I've missed our little talks while you've been off fighting the French and their savages as well I've missed our little talks too sir oh well what are your plans now that you've put the army behind you ah well I'm afraid the Army has put me behind it I've been attending my mother's Affairs she's well actress as well as mother ever can be it's clear to me now that she'll not hand over my inherited property as long as she lives so I must find a place of my own oh yes yes quite well if there's anything I can do to help yes yes sir there is as your daughter has remarried and moved into a new husband's plantation I would like to lease Mount Vernon for man if you will prove a property is all anyone can be certain of sir the rest is wind in the trees well put young man and I certainly can understand your hunger for land hungry that I had when I was your age but does this talk of non Verdun mini tomb give it up your dream of serving in His Majesty's regular forces well my military career is over I'm a farmer now and glad to be quite certain are there never more so then the house is yours George and what comes with it in exchange for 15,000 pounds of tobacco to be paid to an each year agreed it's agreed sir and if the good Lord see fit to take an first then you shall have clear title thank you sir it's what your dear brother wanted where he is my inconstant friend and what do you have to say for yourself sorry I'm sorry you're known for almost a week and you've made no effort to call itself oh well I sir have you been avoiding us I demand an answer on pain of instant embarrassment well I didn't want you to see the house till I finish my plan but I should have known that you'd wait for no man so enter madam if you insist oh I do oh dear poor joy living all by yourself Furniture this emptiness how can you stand it I have to have beautiful things to surround me well there's so much to do and it takes so long when you don't know that much about architecture uh I have helped with this English builders manual knife developed a good eye oh that sounds a modest doesn't it terribly they don't sir you can't give me a tour of what is then you must show me what will be [Applause] your brother Lawrence would have loved your plans for the gun I don't want to see it as formal as before you must keep the roses in George you must plant everlastings you know there's November flowers that it can be dried after the frost and brighten our world until spring what a lovely thought you've just designed your dream house and guard what about a dream lady what would you like it to be whispering soft and fair perhaps tall and dark-haired like your Sally oh no no and I like you you're one of a kind then I never find another tear George well welcome home I can't tell you how delighted I am it will no longer have to travel half the day to reach our door you'll dine with us tonight oh no really I have of course you will we have much to talk of every town in Williamsburg is wagging about the arrival of a Major General Edward Braddock with two regiments of British regulars Braddock you sail into Hampton Roads last week I wanna say Forrest of sales both low that the boatload of real British regulars it's a perfectly trained and disciplined they're amazing it much is one man March where the general has orders from the king to take Fort Duquesne my god it's about time that fort controls the frontier and once taken we can drive the French right back to Canada now far so interested George I thought you'd turn your back on a military career I want you with me you've already tangled with the French in the wilderness so I value your experience and advice governor Dinwiddie and I and yes yes I know all about that but you wouldn't be someone that I would want in my military family if you hadn't also tangled with the governor we soldiers must stick together hey yes sir but even the governor admitted that you're someone who will fight and not just diddle away your time cooped up in some frontier fort but there is the matter of rank sir rank I shall make you a civilian aid without rank colonel you'll get your orders directly from me and that way no one in the regulars will outrank you how does that strike you sir are you with us I would be honored to serve in your family General Braddock good good and the last field must be seated by the end of the month get the Frenchman cooperate by turning tail and leaving the Ohio to us I should return well before first party if there is a harvest George this drought a little brother don't even say it we must produce 15,000 pounds of tobacco or lease my lease I'd certainly don't have to be announced to my own son thank you just like your brother running after Mount Vernon at every opportunity mother jack and you enticing him to take care of your property while mind lies parts in the hellish Sun but I need a jack to finish the planting and to look after the house cows so dry we must squeeze them like bagpipes for a pitcher of milk and all you can do is steal away my John Agustin and hitch him to your plow George can teach me agriculture how when these hundreds of miles away in some godforsaken wilderness and who knows if you'll ever come back except in a box that we must put in the ground mama that's a terrible thing to say well it's true George how ungrateful you are for all the sacrifices that I've made for you when your father died I know I am grateful you're welcome to stay at Mount Vernon while I'm away if you insist I do well but I'll lose the light if I don't leave now Justin they're calling you with any problem that he might have my boy I'd feel hurt if you hadn't we're we're really family you know yes thank you I must be on my way goodbye Godspeed doesn't look we'll take good care of him and say goodbye to sallekhana because I don't know why she said they went running upstairs if you could wait but no I can't I must go you both hate to see you leave thank you for all that you've been to me George William and you to me to all of us Godspeed George you'd go without saying goodbye somehow I know and couldn't bear to be there when you told the others I heard everything from the top of the stairs why George my heart is not in agriculture I realize that down the bearing of arms can be my only life great events are afoot I mean to be a witness you prepared that little speech didn't you haven't really answered why you know why I don't you're being rude when you say that I do I enjoy your company too much it's wrong it's not fun we're friends nothing wrong I can't stay here any longer giorgia my father gave it to me now I give it to you I can't take it it won't bring you good fortune I know it will please keep it to that much very different the howitzers six ships cannon 14 six pounders to move all of this so we've been promised by the colonial governors 200 wagons and 2,500 horses has anyone to comment on our proposed tactics Colonel Washington you're top-heavy in ordnance sir transferring such heavy loads over 300 rugged miles across rivers and mountains could prove to be more difficult than any of us could imagine we thrive on difficulties don't we gentlemen yes sir I'm sure you're doing but to achieve victory here you may have to alter your tactics and what prey must we do well sir you and your officers are new to this country your success has been won on European battlefields in the time-honored way a frontal assault on an enemy Army in an open field siege of a French fort but sir in this campaign you'll be fighting Canadian French not continental one says the difference the Canadians General Braddock not only use Indians to fight but they've also learned Indian battle tactics such as harassment by small raiding parties forest skirmishes by men disguises to be almost invisible they strikin and they run invisible men who strike and run oh really sir British field tactics and firepower chase your invisible men into eternity precision and discipline young man that's how wars are won this could be a war like no other in history sir the Indians can be a fearful presence since they engage in such barbarity as lifting scalp wild talk is dangerous sir you will build these savages into so great a bogeyman that the common soldier will quicken his boots to face them yeah yeah very grateful to our Virginian friend for his opinions whether or not they prove instructive you have your orders gentlemen crawling with maggots we've received not a fraction of the surprise now half the wagons promises for those damnable Virginians I'd like to strangle that pack of scoundrels now sending is rotten beef Colonel Washington you kindly explain to me two of your ax men sir slain by Indians sex you know you don't want to see they've been scalped and why the bloody hell did you bring them here as if I haven't seen enough horror for one day but your orders were to last my orders you provincials either totally neglect you obey my orders all you obey them when I don't want them abate take them into the woods and bury them before my men start seeing hobgoblins behind every bush and Colonel Washington report to me the four officers mess I want to talk to you yes sir Oh sir I'm sorry to invade your privacy the Sentry said don't let this barren field embarrass you candle it'll soon be lawful groom again that wasn't angry to you to take a little bit at your Virginia politicians whose promises I admit you warned me my proof is elusive as your bloody French savages damn them all British soldiers ambushed and scalped but his horse his stolen promises broken and so I turned to my Seneca and as always find comfort fire is the test of gold adversity of strong men ever since we left Fort Cumberland this army has moved like tar in December at the rate we push our rolled every day we shan't reach for Duquesne before our bones be bleached by your damnable Virginia Sun yes sir no you have to say yes sir speak your mind I'd divide my army sir divide an army the French know where we are we're being watched every mile by their Indians I'd leave the bulk of my supplies wagons horses artillery behind to protect the road while a smaller unit of chosen men moves ahead to surprise the enemy albeit act itself dangerous policy can but wish you'll see when this campaign is over and we've driven the French back to Canada I propose to find a place for you and His Majesty's service which is agreeable to hear wishes thank you sir and there's something I'd like you to do now I want you to ride posthaste to the governor's palace and bring back 4000 pound sterling right pretty much to him yes sir the army [Applause] we'll Williamsburg to Fairfax who else but George Washington would you agree he proved himself after General Braddock was mortally wounded is it a wise policy to reward defeated officers with new positions of responsibility he knows next to nothing of the science of warfare is not received adequate training and indeed he's little more than a boy well take him sir but he possesses a quality which any of us aging military experts would would be happy to trade for all our science and our schooling he can lead men in battle yeah yeah ladies and gentlemen may I present you Colonel George Washington commander of the Virginia regiment raised in defense of his Majesty's colony [Applause] [Applause] I'm grateful governor for your willingness to accommodate only after much travels on both our parts levies a wager colonel enjoy your season in the Sun oh you're captured by this are may have beauties I'd appreciate it if you'd keep Sammy company while I take courtesan constituents it will be my pleasure as always a better way to start my campaign if you've made as much progress with your soldiering dancing you will succeed no matter what the odds well I certainly know where to come for encouragement what progress have you made in that other important matter what matters that your search for mistress of Mount Vernon of course I'm afraid there's been a little time this evening is the perfect opportunity with Ally and the hero of the Amur could claim any lady in the room good evening kind of Washington this is perhaps Betsy BOTS but lovely golden hair she has foliat with her there's Sarah Buffington sighs watching and very available of course she's been very available for quite a number of years ago to celli you'll have me terrified at the prospect of marriage is that what I'm doing besides I can't imagine dancing with other charmers when I have the loveliest of all right now how you change used a stammer compliment now you know just what I'm worried please forgive us madam if we steal the kernel from you some distinguished landowners are anxious to meet their new commander if I might also capture you for this next dance kind baby I would be challenging I see you've taught your aides well good it would be my pleasure captain girl Washington may I present mr. NARRATOR: May 4th, 2015. A tourist visiting the ancient
pyramid complex of Teotihuacan takes a photograph featuring
the Pyramid of the Sun. He thinks nothing of
it, until he later reviews the photo and
notices two strange objects hovering over the pyramid. Upon closer examination,
they appear to be silver, disk-shaped craft. What's strange about
the two UFOs photographed above the Pyramid of
the Sun at Teotihuacan is that only 10 seconds later,
a second photograph was taken, and those two objects were gone. So clearly we are not talking
about Mylar balloons here. There is nothing floating
in the sky anymore, and if they would have
been Mylar balloons, well, they don't move that
fast to just disappear. There has been a long
history of UFO sightings and unusual events
in Teotihuacan, particularly around
the pyramids, which perhaps are
somehow attracting UFOs and extraterrestrials. NARRATOR: Is there more
going on at Teotihuacan than archaeologists realize? Could there be secrets about
our extraterrestrial past left for us to discover
at this ancient city? At Teotihuacan, so far
only 10% has been excavated. That means there's 90%
that remains to be dug up. How much more is
there at the site? We have no idea,
but we have to ask, if we continue and press on,
might we find the artifacts, the components, to start
to put the pieces together, and perhaps lead us to a
much clearer concept of who these beings were
who built this. DAVID CHILDRESS: We don't
know what they will find in the future, but I
suspect they'll make some startling discoveries. There's many things in our past
that we just don't understand, but it's possible
that the answers– some of them– are
at Teotihuacan.

Restoration Home: Abbey Lane (Before and After) | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

Views:16943|Rating:4.78|View Time:58:38Minutes|Likes:264|Dislikes:12
Historic houses, both humble and grand, have all played their part in the story of Britain. Today many are at risk and some in danger of being lost forever. Caroline Quentin returns to follow the fortunes of six more properties, all facing their own struggle for survival, all with committed new owners wanting to turn them into their dream homes.

In Tudor times, the majority of houses were timber-framed, but only a few survive. Abbey Lane in Warwickshire is a forgotten gem. Believed to date from the early 16th century, this house is not formally protected as a listed building and when it was put on the market it was clear it needed a lot of work. Professional couple Sally and Stuart, who had been searching for their ideal family home, saw past the decay and bought it.

The puzzle surrounding Abbey Lane is that its timber frame is unusually elm and not oak while other architectural features indicate that it was more than a family house. One thing is for certain, the condition of the timber skeleton is shockingly frail and half of the rear frame needs rebuilding. Costs slip and work stops. Will Sally and Stuart manage to turn Abbey Lane into their dream home?

“Ancient Aliens” explores the controversial theory that extraterrestrials have visited Earth for millions of years.

HISTORY® is the leading destination for award-winning original series and specials that connect viewers with history in an informative, immersive, and entertaining manner across all platforms. The network’s all-original programming slate features a roster of hit series, premium documentaries, and scripted event programming.

NARRATOR: Houston,
Texas, December 1992. Eight members of the
Houston UFO Network separately report
being abducted in one of the strangest mass
abduction cases in history. Derrel Sims, a former US
intelligence operative, conducts the preliminary
investigation. All these people
independent of each other, and to my shock and
amazement, they all came back with the exact same story– the same craft,
the same entities. They identified each
other in great detail. Some of them didn't even
know each other very well. All of these people described
being taken by a small craft and a small entity,
and the entity took them to a much larger craft. NARRATOR: After researching
numerous UFO sightings that were reported the
night of the incident, Sims makes a shocking discovery. Someone in Japan had filmed
the moon during this time and filmed a massive craft that
left a shadow across the moon as it crossed the moon's
surface during the same time of the mass abduction. So there was the
corroboration that we needed. NARRATOR: UFO researchers
following the case believe collective details
gathered from the event may shed new light
on the abduction phenomena and perhaps
clues to understanding the extraterrestrial agenda. One of the people taken saw
a map-like thing on the wall. The map that this individual
saw that was on the wall indicated approximately
6,000 years of the aliens' involvement with mankind. We were down to the last small
section of that map which was about a hundred years left. What we deduced from the
information from the abductee was simply that this experiment,
whatever it is, is almost over. NARRATOR: After viewing the
map, one of the abductees was led through
a massive hallway to another part of the craft. DERREL SIMS: It was a
huge room, enormous size. I said, what did you see? He said it looked
like a collection, like almost like a museum of
things that had been collected. They seemed to have
collected species, animals, people, all kinds of things. Then I said, and what was
significant about that? And he said, I don't
think they were dead. I think they were all
suspended animation. This may explain the
reason why some people disappear and don't come
back from an abduction event. NARRATOR: Do the
accounts from the Houston mass-abduction
event shed new light on the extraterrestrial agenda? If so, might the stories
of mass disappearances throughout history
be not fantasy but part of a program
to collect human beings and other Earth species? But for what purpose? DAVID WILCOCK: Perhaps these
abductions are not happening for some random reason. These samples are being taken so
that the human seed itself can be preserved in
the unlikely event of some mass ecological
catastrophe that wipes out human life on
Earth as we now know it. The evolution of
humans on this planet has been completely and totally
an experiment on the part of extraterrestrials. We'll call it experimental
lab process on this planet. Intelligences are
cloning and hybridizing and mixing and matching. GEORGE NOORY: Earth could very
well be a farm, simple as that. It's like "The
Island of Dr. Moreau" where we're genetically altered. We're mixed. We're abducted. We're taken. We're brought back. This could be the
greatest melting pot of experimental
work in the universe. But, you know, as NASA has
said, they're going to discover alien life forms in 20 years. I think we will find that
creatures on other worlds resemble us very closely. NARRATOR: Could it be that
extraterrestrials really have been coming to
Earth and abducting large groups of people
throughout our history? And if so, are other worldly
beings conducting experiments to upgrade the human race,
preparing us to become part of an intergalactic community? Ancient-astronaut theorists
propose that one day we will be reunited with
our alien ancestors, but perhaps for some of us this
reunion has already occurred.

Britain's Slave Trade: The Old Corruption | History Documentary | Reel Truth History

The Old Corruption challenges the accepted version of the history of abolition, that the passive, suffering slaves were freed by benevolent white crusaders, revealing the corruption of the plantations owners, and how the inhuman treatment of African people was finally acknowledged.

The Hidden History of Demons in the Ancient World [FULL DOCUMENTARY]

This new documentary shows some very deeply hidden secrets, looking at Demons and Gargoyles from the ancient world, they can take a variety of forms. Dragons, devils, demons, half-human and half-animal are the most common. The styles and possible meaning and functions will be discussed here. While there is growing interest in these carvings, which originated during the time of ancient Egypt, there is not a large amount of meaningful written material concerning them.
The documentary shows that In various religions, devils and demons are evil or harmful supernatural beings. Devils are generally regarded as the adversaries of the gods, while the image of demons ranges from mischief makers to powerful destructive forces. In many religions, devils and demons stand on the opposite side of the cosmic balance from gods and angels.

thousands of years ago complex technology which bridged the gap between the physical world and the spiritual worlds was developed in Iraq Egypt Mexico and European megalithic sites such as Stonehenge buried deep inside sacred mounds of Earth in gobekli tepe in Turkey in Egypt in Iran and Iraq and also buried deep under the pyramids of Mexico we have discovered statues of very strange dealings alongside these statues are other artifacts which resemble the components of electrical circuits such as the Jed pillar which looks suspiciously very similar to a Tesla coil in the ancient world electricity was being generated using batteries filled with acid vinegar and these devices created a flowing energy which was used by the Illuminati royal families of ancient Egypt ancient Iraq ancient Britain and ancient Mexico to make psychic contact with spirits angels and demons these devices in turn inspired the greatest scientists of the modern world some of whom were members of secret societies which boosted senses in which ectoplasm technological apparatus were used to show us images of the spirit world all this technology was kept uh turley secret welcome to the world of forbidden electrical psychic spiritual technology welcome to the world of forbidden TV my name is Chris Everard and I travel the world investigating psychic spiritual and technological secrets which the ruling elite have kept secret for thousands and thousands of years did the ancient Egyptians have some form of Technology it's quite possible we know that in ancient Iraq there were so-called Baghdad batteries which were earthenware jars filled with vinegar with an anode and a cathode and each of these jars could actually create about 0.5 volts of electricity in this episode we break down the barriers of academia and the sheer stubborn ignorance of archaeologists to accept that electricity was known about and used during the time of the Pharaohs for thousands of years universities and colleges have denied students a true picture of the ancient world the words electricity and magnetism are words from ancient Greece and in this episode for the first time on film we investigate the ancient electrical power sources used by the Pharaohs and the builders of the great megalithic sites ember is fossilized tree resin which the builders of Stonehenge and the megaliths of Europe appreciated for its color and natural beauty the insects inside ember date back to the time of the dinosaurs but amber was valued for other reasons in fact the Greek word for amber is electron and this is the source of the word electricity and 4,500 years ago people would rub amber with sheep's wool and create impressive sparks of electricity magicians such as the legendary Merlin was said to have a collection of amber collected from the shores of Lithuania and these mystic illusionist magicians would shock their audiences by discharging bolts of static electricity created from ember clearly ancient people knew about electricity and the secret Brotherhood's on the Nile I didn't babble on created electricity using so-called Baghdad batteries and also they harvested electricity from the sky alongside static electricity the builders of the pyramids also understood and used magnetism the magnetic compass is one of the first scientific instruments to have been used extensively in the ancient world and a compass will not work without first having a good understanding of magnetism the pyramids of giza are aligned almost precisely to the four cardinal points of planet Earth and so it is obvious to me that the ancient architects had a compass and yet this is never mentioned in any books on Egyptology people are being led astray and being told that gobekli tepe in Turkey is the oldest known civilization it is not for example in Germany a carved statue dating back to 23,000 BC has been found and in Japan the Jomon people were making advanced earthenware pots decorated with braided rope fourteen thousand years ago [Laughter] and what about obelisks obelisks have also been censored from mainstream archaeology the truth is that in the time of the family of Pharaoh took Moses obelisks were given offerings and even worshipped as if they were alive obelisks represent the phallus and in the mess of Islamic gatherings at Mecca token obelisks are stoned because still to this day Islam considers the obelisk to be a symbol of the phallus of Satan but obelisks were not just symbolic of the phallus of Satan they were shaved in an alloy of silver and gold and palladium and this special alloy was called electron Satan is represented as the giant serpent reptile known as Apophis in ancient Egypt and there is an energy associated with this serpent which is illustrated on many two walls at the Valley of the Kings and this serpent energy flowing in strange directions from one object to another can only be one thing electricity electricity in the ancient world was called serpent energy and we can see this serpent energy flowing in strange directions from one object to another in many of the murals of the tombs of the valley of the kings in the book of Genesis there is a teaching that everyone mankind must resist the temptation of the serpent I believe this to be an allegory for the peasants not to embrace or to be seduced by the power of electricity even today the hadith teaches that modern technology should be shunned and that mankind should somehow stay in the dark ages if you think it's strange that Brotherhood's in the ancient world would tell people to be suspicious of electricity then consider this less than 40 years ago there were demonstrations marches in London against the microchip obelisks were always erected in pairs at temple entrances because one was an anode and the other was a cathode in actual fact there is evidence to suggest that there were two obelisks made completely of palladium gold silver alloy called electrum at the temple of Carnac in actual fact luxor means the city of light the tips of the surviving obelisks which we see today at Carnac were covered in an electrum sheath this is a natural gold silver palladium alloy which conducts electricity many obelisks have a groove running down one corner where a wire was attached to the capstone sheath the atmosphere is full of static electricity each positive and negative obelisk would have harvested an atmospheric voltage which may have been converted and stored in a battery the battery in question would have been the mysterious Ark of the Covenant these obelisks were used to harvest static electricity directly from the atmosphere palladium is a soft metal and part of the platinum group of precious metals even to this day palladium gold alloy is called electrum a word which comes from ancient Egypt modern electrum plates has commonly been made from an alloy of gold silver and palladium each obelisk has a capstone and in ancient Egypt these were shaved in electrum these obelisks were the tallest structures in the ancient world and were constantly in contact with hydrogen atoms in the air there is no doubt amongst modern archaeologists that static electricity from the atmosphere was being harvested by the ancient Pharaoh's and palladium has the remarkable ability to absorb hydrogen gas from the atmosphere like a sponge palladium absorbs up to 900 times its own weight in hydrogen gas palladium mainly comes from South America so if it was used as an electrical conductor in ancient Egypt is there any proof that the Pharaohs had trade routes connecting them to South America well in actual fact there are mentions of evidence to show that the pharaohs were trading with South America in the previous episode we explained how cocaine was discovered in the body tissues of the mummy of pharaoh ramses ii our broadcaster reports were first aired about two and a half years ago now if the Pharaohs were rich enough to trade in cocaine which came from South America that is pretty obvious they were rich enough to buy palladium from South America or transatlantic traders we believe in the making of this show that those traders were the mysterious Olmec today we see governments worldwide using the Egyptian obelisk as a symbol of power to Islamic people across the planet when they see an obelisk such as the Washington Monument they see a symbol of serpent energy they see a symbol which represents the phallus of Satan there are obelisks situated at important energy centers in capital cities worldwide this secret emblem of electricity and the secret emblem of Satan can be seen with the two Cleopatra's needles one in London on the banks of the River Thames and the other stands in Central Park in New York City in fact Freemasons have amalgamated the magic and architecture of ancient Egypt into all of their Masonic rituals and when the Central Park obelisk was erected thousands of Masons in full Masonic uniform March 5th Avenue in a Grand Masonic celebration obelisks have some kind of secret it is a secret reserved for the elite the elite governments have invested millions of dollars in building effigies of Egyptian obelisks in many capital cities and they'll even transported original Egyptian obelisks which now stand at the Vatican in Rome in London in New York in Paris and many other sites the secret to obelisks is the electrostatic power which these obelisks are able to accrued from the atmosphere and this static electricity was stored in a battery in ancient times and today we call that battery the Ark of the Covenant but to learn more about obelisks and Static atmospheric electricity in the ancient world we have to leave ancient Egypt and now we travel to Lalibela in Ethiopia Oh the Museum of mankind in Paris and also the Berlin Egyptological collection opium has been found in the body tissue of many kings queens and priests of ancient Egypt Orthodox archeology ignored this discovery until it was discovered that both ham pipes just like those plaques used by junkies in China were actually carved in soot egypt's biggest temples the biomechanical tests on the body of King Ramses clearly showed that he was high on opium for many years of his life but the x-rays and tests on his stomach contents go way beyond discovering just opium doctors who tested the mummified remains of many Egyptian kings and queens also found hashish the tests were repeated and it was confirmed that hashish was eaten in ancient Egypt the cannabinoids proof that Ashish was imported from Syria Stone Age psychedelia is the most in-depth investigation into the kings and queens of the ancient world it's a book which is far more than just about drugs in the ancient world it proves that the richest families who ever move the face of the planet gained their riches by dealing in opium cocaine hashish and tobacco stone-age psychedelia proves that the psychedelic experience is of the root of all religions Stone Age psychedelia proves that the pharaohs were junkies Stone Age psychedelia is available exclusively with a free DVD documentary film from Christopher ever are.com and also from Christopher everardo dot uk' the Kebra Nagast is an ancient text describing him the real Ark of the Covenant was brought to Ethiopia by King Menelik the first who is King Menelik his Ethiopian name is Boehner alaikum and the Kebra Nagast was who caused him the son of the wise he was the first Jewish Emperor of Ethiopia and is traditionally believed to be the son of the arch magician King Solomon of ancient Israel Solomon married the Queen of Sheba it was a queen whose facial features matched that of the upper Egyptian and Ethiopian pharaohs at the Cairo Museum mummy chamber we see that many pharaohs were Ethiopian with orange hair which they died using Hanna in fact the Kebra Nagast portrays most of the prophets and even Jesus himself as being blackmailed King Solomon is the central character in world international Freemasonry King Solomon builds a temple by hosting seances and summoning demons to dictate the blueprints of his temple these demons are described in an ancient Jewish book of black magic called the go Asia in this book we see 72 primary demons controlling entire armies of lesser demons these demons are misfits of creation they are known as the killer Poth in cabbalistic mysticism welcome to the south of France now this area is going to be very familiar to the viewers thousands of years of the unique maternal and the people that come on my expeditions and to us because this is where I live this is where my film studio is it's the South of France it's not far from the beach and in my local village there are houses from the seventh century as you can see the area is not short on a little bit of history there are three major castles in my local area and this one is the Chapel of tren Cavell and just within the walls so these rampart accruals here you've also got the Basilica of San and as the air now you really have to travel to the south of France to see this Gothic architecture because if you get up close like we do with their drones then you can see that these buildings are smothered in gargoyles now the word gargoyle is a comes from the French word for gargle as in gargling water and there is no biblical precedence for smothering the exterior of a building with these demonic entities and this is all the work of the Knights Templar and the Masonic guilds and these demons as a safe there's no precedence in the Bible you know in the biblical scriptures obviously say that Jesus casted out demons that's for sure but there's nothing in the Bible that says when you build a church you smother the church in statues of demons well what we're really dealing with here is one of the biggest lies put before the world and what the Knights Templar did is that they had a secret Brotherhood they were loan-sharking they were buggering Arabian boys on the crew on the Crusades since of the ancient Middle East and when they came back from those Crusades they landed in places like a Gomorrah in the South of France and they brought with them books black magicians operating in the ancient Near East and they began their satanic kind of careers they triggered merchant banking loan sharking as a set and they used to trample and spit on the cross they brought back shrunken heads which they kept in the silver caskets they worshipped these heads they called them baffle Mets and they built these cathedrals supposedly these cathedrals are a celebration of Christ of you know of Jesus and really to be absolutely honest I've spent years decoding this architecture what these buildings are is they are temples to the killer puff demons and the gargoyles are the killer puff demons in actual effect on the Chapel of trend Cavell there is actually 72 carved heads exactly the same number as the primary number of demons in the ancient book of black magic called the Galatia so these demons have water running through them gargling water that's why they're called gargoyles and of course the peasants down on the ground level get baptized – every time it rains with water that's run through these statues now there are no blueprints of any of these Gothic cathedrals anywhere in existence in Europe that's because the Knights Templar kept the blueprints completely secret they used to inscribe the blueprints on tablets of wet clay and after the the cathedrals have been finished in their construction periods those clay tablets were put somewhere secret we don't know where they are or they were smashed and destroyed the blueprints for a lot of these temples and a lot of the designs of these gargoyles actually came through psychic mediums who were members of the masonic guilds they used to carve these horrid evil creatures and my research in the library is by the way I do speak enough French to understand medieval French books sighs speaking of Spanish to understand the black magic texts from Toledo in Spain I speak a little bit of Sumerian a little bit of Latin a little bit of Hebrew and you have to if you want to understand exactly what goes on with Judeo Babylonian Satanism and the so-called New World Order you can't do it from sitting in an armchair stealing bits of information from other people's books you actually have to do what I do which is travel the world and learn lots of languages and then you can get the big picture the big picture in my books is that the go a show and if you look under G in the index of any book you chew you care to mention the spent conspiracies and bail global conspiracies and New World Order you'll see that there's nothing about go a show this another thing about grimoires either which of these books are black magic so you have to actually go to the source and that's what I do and these cathedrals all over Europe are smothered in these gargoyles these are the killer puff demons and the Caesars of the Roman Empire actually worshipped these exact same demons they didn't use the same names for these demons but that's what they were doing this is the roots of pizza gate this is the root of exactly what's going on to this day with The Whistleblower children from Hampstead and the other whistleblowers from the Presidio naval base in America these covens these lodges these satanic Brotherhood's and sisters are operating right now in the world and they are using ancient forms of divination and they are summoning these horrible demons and when they carved these gargoyles a psychic who is a member of these Masonic guilds used to actually summon one of these demonic spirits and kind of imbue it into the actual stonework they was hoisted up onto the building and as I say every time it rained the rainwater ran through these demonic sculptures and basically baptized the peasants below who obviously even still to this day most people believe that these evil sculptures are on the exterior of these churches for one reason and that is because they ward off evil spirits well it doesn't say anything like that in the Bible there's no teaching from Jesus or Moses or anyone about that you have to see these things for what they are and remember that the Knights Templar their leader Jacques de Molay was actually burned as a witch along with lots of his compadres because they were actually doing witchcraft and that is the real truth of the Knights Templar and these Gothic cathedrals and as I say the Roman Caesars actually worshipped these demons and in the South of France just a stone's throw from where I live there is a deconsecrated Church and we can see tombstones and altar stones from the Roman Empire these are stones that come from a Roman graveyard and Roman villas that were built 2,000 years ago in the South of France and we can see the horrific nasty horrid faces of these demons that were worshipped by the Caesars there is a longer more in-depth version available on the Enigma channel the Enigma channel is like WikiLeaks but instead of reading documents about secret subjects you can put your feet up and watch thousands of fascinating documentary films covering the subjects which has been censored and suppressed from the mainstream media for decades the Enigma channel is a 100% independent TV network with documentaries and TV shows which are not available on YouTube not on Netflix and are unique to the Enigma Channel what typifies these weirds killer puffer beings is that if you look into their eyes there is absolutely no empathy and compassion there is no laughter feeling of goodwill towards anyone they have been deliberately created to be the empty husks they're beings but they have no soul and the soul has no compassion and Judaism and Celtic Babylonian magical systems worships these beings and so did the bosses if you like of the Roman Empire and the Roman Empire just changed itself into the Holy Roman Empire and I believe that is these dis compassionate weird husks of beings which are still being worshiped to this day amongst many of the Catholic cults and on including Freemasonry and the currents on the club the order of the nine angles and many of these other cults some of those members are actually masquerading as being Cardinals in Catholic priests and they even wear Catholic robes in reality they are worshipping these beings that have coldness they have no compassion no in and the launch [Applause] and this is what the Roman Empress worships they they worshiped these horrific nasty devilish type characters that had no compassion no empathy and they worshiped these characters to give them strength they gave them offerings of food offerings of wine I mean there was sacrifice of slaves that were taken from countries that been conquered by the Caesars and the Empress of the Roman Empire and they were doing everything they could to give power and give spiritual forcefulness to the spirits of these kind of serial killer type gods and they have these horrific faces terrible faces but they have the bodies of young children that that personifies the pantheon of so-called gods which the Roman emperors worshiped and they also worship the planets as well the known planets at that time were moving through the sky and they were also worshiped as well the Zeus was the word for Jupiter from the Mediterranean world so you know this is a really important repository of stones because you've got lots of as astronomical symbols here you've got universe's galaxies you put stars all represented here and you've also got these horrible serial killer type demon characters all carved into stone these were all quartz or stones or they were all gravestones and when a Roman Emperor or a Roman member of the Senate died they would have one of these nasty evil kind of serial killer type spirits carved into their gravestone and there's lots of astronomical symbolism here because astronomy and astrology world one combine science and the reason why astronomy was important in this because the planets were thought to be fueled by a living entity living spiritual life force and that's why the Chaldeans and then the Greeks and then the Romans all put a great amount of emphasis on combining astronomy and astrology and we see that at dandera the ceiling of dendera is mentioned so deaq and here we see on the altar stones and the gravestones of the great and the good of the Roman Empire the Roman rulers in the Mediterranean more than 2,000 years ago we see that they put spinning galaxies symbols on all of these stones is that the one where you've got the body of the young child but with the face of somebody's in their 50s or their 60s this is very very typical of the types of gods that existed you know before we had you know Christianity the only other big major religion at that time in the Mediterranean was Judaism which has been developed by the Chaldeans child ear is a province of Iraq babylonians and they moved up into the area which is now Jerusalem and you know really basically what we're looking at here are demons the Jewish people call these killable and killer puff means that they are husks or the shelves of the mistakes made by the creative force so God created these as a mistake and the Roman Empire the Roman emperors worshipped them and so did all of the catalysts one of the people that were following the Solomonic system of magic from king solomon the clavicle of solomon that go asia actually teaches youth communication systems so that you can actually have seances and magical rituals and actually speak with a Killa cough and why are they being worshipped they're being worshipped because they're the mischievous naughty elements of creation and all of the all of the black magic being taught in the world of the Chaldeans which became Judaism is actually fostering a cancer a spiritual cancer so that if you want to simplify things this creation is good the universe is good the reproductive life force of Mother Nature is good and what these people were doing is that they were worshipping and bringing forth and giving sustenance to the horrid killer Poth who have been fostered to to a degree where they've formed a kind of spiritual cancer and that's really essentially what these demons represent now they don't hold the same form all the time they have certain forms where they appear in them in the mind's eye of the magician as weird things like a head of the toad head of them ahead of crab legs a spider Alexis of a man will join together that's like a calling card so you know ah I've now summoned sacred Sovereign Lord bar and at the magician's command they will take human form but it's a twisted human form it's a it's a distorted human form it's a parody of what the life force and what Mother Nature does and that's what they worship and then in terms of real genealogies Romulus and Remus or the wild child's kind of legends the wild children left in the forest and brought up by jackals and they just learned you know the the law of the jungle right way and that is what the Roman Empress said that they came from their genealogy is all linked to these wireless children that have brought up in jungles and forests by animals because they survived and they'd come up that they don't become adversity they managed to protect themselves they managed to drink the milk of wild animals they've managed to act like animals and get accepted by wild animals which other humans would be attacked by and that for the Roman Empress was a sign of strength and so therefore they wrote those wild children into the genealogies of their families whether it's true or not I don't know I doubt very much whether it is true to be honest I think it's probably will lie and they know it's a lie but that's what they used to do after that then what happened is that the sexer Gotha clans and the sex Altenburg clans started to say that they were descended from King Solomon who is one of the most notorious magicians of the Judaic system and he wrote many books telling you how to communicate with the Killip off and in the official genealogy books in London you can see that the royal family of Britain the Buckingham Palace claimed that they are descended from King Solomon so these tombstones are a very important archaeological discovery a farmer was plowing a field and he found all of these water stones some of these are gravestones some of them are all systems and they're all water stones from the Roman Empire and these were in houses built by the Roman Caesars in the Roman warlords in the Mediterranean they gathered them all together and buried them into the ground in one field as if they were embarrassed about these horrible demons that the that the Roman Caesars worship if you would like to join one of our filming crews NARRATOR: Houston, Texas, 2010. Doctors at the Texas
Heart Institute examine a 59-year-old man
complaining of chest pains and make an
astounding discovery. The patient has a
three-chambered heart, similar to that of a reptile. Researchers attributed
the rare condition to an evolutionary
phenomenon called atavism, when a lost trait of
a distant ancestor reemerges in a modern organism. GAGE CRUMP: So the idea is if
you look at where we evolved from, we were first fish. Fish have a two-chambered heart. And then we came on land. We're more like a reptile. That has a
three-chambered heart. And then, eventually, we have
a four-chambered heart as we became mammals and then humans. So interestingly,
during development, that same sequence of evolution
is played out again as embryos. So if there's any sort of defect
in the embryo along the way, it could get stalled out
at that earlier state. And now this man
has a heart that's more typical of our distant
ancestors, the reptiles. NARRATOR: While the discovery of
a human with a reptilian heart is incredibly rare,
other genetic conditions have been found that suggest
a link with reptiles. Since the 1800s, over
100 cases of human tails have been reported
in medical journals. People with the
disease ichthyosis have dry, scaly skin. And people with
the diseases called syndactyly and
ectrodactyly have fused fingers and claw-like hands. But if such anatomical
irregularities are a link to our
ancient ancestors, as some scientists
suggest, could it be that they are not the
remnants of a reptilian stage in human development
but, instead, reveal that humans
once commingled with reptilian aliens? Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes and believe that further clues
can be found in the stories of China's first emperor, Fuxi. Fuxi is one of the
mythical rulers of China. And he is considered to be the
original or prototypical man. He was created along
with his sister, Nuwa. They were humanoid
in form in the sense that their upper bodies
were that of humans, but their lower bodies
were that of snakes. And they're often
represented with snake tails intertwined together. NARRATOR: Similar stories
of reptilian humanoid beings exist in cultures around
the ancient world, including Japan, Greece,
and South America. DAVID CHILDRESS: We
even have good drawings and reliefs of many of
these fantastic creatures. And so is it possible that
some of these creatures really are aliens
that look like that? And it seems like in some cases
that is probably the case. NARRATOR: Other
unusual anomalies also appear to mirror the
descriptions of divine beings from ancient texts. Millions of infants are born
with blue patches of skin called Mongolian spots,
evoking the blue-skin gods common to India and Egypt. There have also been
many cases of gigantism throughout history, bringing
to mind biblical stories of the Nephilim,
giants that were said to be the hybrid
offspring of humans and divine beings
called "the watchers." Within us is the whole
evolutionary development of humankind, as well
as the other species that humans developed from– reptiles, fish, and so forth. Extrapolating this idea, if
extraterrestrials had a hand in retooling our DNA, then do we
also carry their genetic makeup within us, as we would? JASON MARTELL: We know
today that our DNA contains a lot of junk DNA
that we still don't understand. So when we see these
genetic anomalies surface in physical form in children, it
could be that it's not anomaly. It's actually a lost
extraterrestrial gene, a marker that's now
resurfacing at the right time.
